Motor Cover
One of the most basic ways to take care of a motor is to have a motor cover. It may seem simple, but this will protect it in a number of ways. Most obviously, it protects in the case of a collision. Whether the motor is in your car or on a factory floor, it can be damaged by hitting, or being hit by, something.
A cover will absorb a large portion of the energy from the impact, protecting a motor from being seriously damaged. It may be dented, bent out of shape, or even hopelessly crumpled, but the valuable parts within should be mostly safe. Covers also protect from liquids, which can get into motors and cause rusting or other problems. They can prevent rain and carwash water from getting into vehicle motors. Likewise, rain coming through a leaky factory roof will not damage machinery if it has a cover. Many motors will have a protective cover in place when they are bought; car and other vehicle motors are especially well protected, as the other parts also guard the motor. Industrial machinery may have a basic cover for the motor, which can be used or replaced with a more efficient cover. There are factory machine motor covers designed to keep the motor cool as well as protect it.
They create a layer of cooler air, reducing the temperature the motor runs at. This makes it more efficient, directly reducing energy costs. And it will need maintenance less frequently, perhaps even lasting longer, all thanks to a motor cover.
